My Introduction to Pokemon
In terms of videogames, Pokemon has played a large role in my personal relationship with videogames. It is one of the first games I ever remember sinking countless hours into. As a kid I had a wii, and on that wii I had a game called Pokemon Battle Revolutions. This was the pokemon 3-D battle counterpart to the generation 4 games (primarily diamond, pearl, and platinum). I loved this game to death but had never played a real pokemon game before, so upon learning that I could put my own pokemon into the game if I had one of the generation 4 DS games, I practically forced my dad to buy me a copy of Pokemon Platinum, which became my very first real pokemon game. I instantly fell in love with the game and I remember having an absolute blast from start to finish. After beating the game, I uploaded my pokemon to battle revolutions and was instantly captivated by seeing the team I had grown so attached to battle opponents in 3-D. I eventually sought to put as many pokemon into the game as I could, so I started catching more pokemon in platinum, giving them an xp-share, and grinding the elite 4 until they evolved or got the moves I wanted them to have. This was an incredibly extensive task, especially once I found out about pal park. The quest to get more pokemon from other regions in my battle revolutions save motivated me to expand my horizons beyond platinum. My first game post-platinum was heart gold, lent to me by a friend. I really enjoyed this game too, but I truly fell in love with the game I played next, pokemon emerald. I ordered this game and fire red around the same time and loved both games and exploring their respective regions. Once I finished the game, I'd throw my pokemon in pal park, claim them on my platinum save, and repeat the process of grinding them up to have their desired movesets. Disaster struck one day in high school when I put my platinum cartridge into my original DSi. Upon opening the game, I was greeted by the blue screen of death and despair. The entire save had corrupted. All of the countless hours I sank into collecting and training probably around a couple hundred pokemon was gone in an instant. I was devastated. I genuinely think I cried (this was in my freshman year of highschool btw). Luckily after forwarding the news to one of my friends, he introduced me to the wonderful world of modding / ROMS, and helped introduce me to PKhex and let me use his modded 3ds/his modded copy of platinum to get not only my pokemon back, but any pokemon I wanted. This was huge and I was extremely grateful to have an outlet to complete the journey I started so long ago. I ended up having a copy of every single final stage of a pokemon from generations 1-4 and their shiny variant and me and my friends still play this game on my wii to this day.

Below I've listed the final teams for each pokemon game I've played so far. I am currently in the process of playing pokemon Black and pokemon X and so when I finish those I'll throw them in here.
